WHAT'S HAPPENING ....
PLAYERS STILL REQUIRED
Our teams for the upcoming season have been finalised, however, we still have vacancies from Under 8's - 12's. Any players wishing to join are asked to contact our Competition Secretary, Carlos Henry (0412 786 097) ASAP. The competiton commences Saturday, 18th September.
SHIRT/PHOTO DAY
Due to renovations at Howell Oval, our Shirt/Photo Day has been relocated to Dukes Oval at Emu Plains this year. It will be held on Saturday, 11th September commencing at 11am.
Players are asked to wear their playing shirt, trousers and baggy blue cap for the photos. The cost of the photo is $12 payable to the photographer on the day. Correct money would be appreciated.
Baggy caps ($35) and Greg Chappell hats ($15) will be on sale.
Drinks and a sausage sandwich will be provided to the players and other family members are welcome to purchase them at a small cost.
Families are asked to consider ball sponsorship as discussed below. We will also take payment for sponsorship at the Shirt/Photo Day.
BALL SPONSORSHIP
This season we are instigating a new fundraising scheme - cricket ball sponsorship. With costs continually increasing we are hoping to raise some much needed funds through ball sponsorship. The cost is $20/ball. It would be fantastic if each family within our club took just one sponsorship each. Ideally you may know of businesses who would be willing to take more.
Each person/business will be advertised on our website for the entire season. Please let us know if you are able to assist.
IN2CRICKET


We will be running the In2Cricket program
again this season. Registrations can be made through the In2Cricket website or interested


boys and girls can attend our current 



registration days. Our first session will


commence in October, at a date to be set, and


we will also take registrations on that day.

LEVEL ONE COACHES' COURSE
CricketNSW will be conducting a level one coaching course for coaches in the Penrith area. The course will be conducted over two consecutive weeks and each session will be four hours in duration. Coaches of our club are encouraged to attend and we will subsidise the cost of the course.
DATE: Wednesday 8th and 15th September
TIME: 6pm - 10pm
VENUE: Dukes Oval, Emu Plains
Interested coaches are asked to contact a member of our committee who will organise registration.

MONTHLY MEETING
Our next monthly meeting will be held at Penrith RSL on Wednesday, 15th September, commencing at 8pm. We meet in the poker machine area before moving to the meeting room. All members are welcome to attend.
COMPETITON STRUCTURE
Thanks to those people who took the time to respond to our survey. The results showed an overwhelming support for 60 over, two day games. The PJCA has decided to combine the Under 13's & 14's and Under 15's and 16's for the upcoming season.
The combined 15/16's (both divisions) and 13/14's (division one only) will not play any quarter cricket matches, only the 60 over two day. However, the 13/14's (division two and three) will play Quarter Cricket matches only.
